Berlin

Berlin offers history, open spaces, and plenty to explore. My sons and I photographed its landmarks and made time to be in the frame together in July 2019.

All photos are from my own travels.

Roger’s experience in Berlin

We explored Berlin together in July 2019. The photographs trace a day through the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, and the Victory Column. They also catch the best part of a family trip: being in the frame together instead of only photographing the landmarks.

Why travelers enjoy Berlin

My July 2019 photos move from the Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag to Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and the Victory Column. That mix of major landmarks and city streets gives a Berlin stay plenty to explore at different paces.

Planning a trip to Berlin

Pick the historical stops that matter most, then group them by area so the day isn’t spent crossing town. On our 2019 trip, we photographed the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, and Victory Column.
